Mackerel is considered as one of the most delicious type of pelagic sea fish with soft flesh rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals considered beneficial to human heart health. Mackerel fillets can be baked in the oven, coated with olive oil and a mixture of Mediterranean spices (thyme, rosemary and basil) or fried in a pan, previously seasoned with salt and pepper and then rolled in flour.
